Fat Daddio’s ProSeries Heating Rods are designed to ensure that the center of the cake is thoroughly-baked and rises evenly without requiring additional time in the oven. A heating rod is recommended by professionals for cakes larger than 9″ in diameter or 3″ and 4″ deep to evenly-distribute heat conduction to the center of the cake.
