Fregola has very ancient origins, dating back millennia, and is intimately linked to the island of Sardinia in Italy.

Farfalle are ideal for cold salads and cheese or creamy sauces.
Gemelli are better suited to thicker sauces, such as our Sicilian and puttanesca sauces.
Penne are ideal for cold salads and cheese or creamy sauces.
Orecchiette is most commonly served with a pasta sauce, vegetables or a simple olive oil and garlic mixture. It is also popularly used in pasta salads and casseroles.
